Anne Wichmann aka She’s Excited! is an award-winning music producer, sound artist and powerhouse performer based in Brooklyn and Munich. She released several Electronic Indie Pop albums and is part of the Alternative Rock duo superWAV.

The Munich-born musician started out in the 90s as a bassist in a Punk band and as the singer of the Psychedelic Alternative band Raw Jaw (winner of the Rock Feierwerk competition in 1999). In addition to her band activity, she always pursued solo projects, from which the alias She's Excited! emerged in 2012. Since then, she has produced and performed cross-genre versions of electronic and futuristic Indie Pop, influenced by musicians such as David Bowie and Laurie Anderson. The multi-instrumentalist writes the music and lyrics for her songs herself.

In 2020 she delved deeply into the world of sound art, designing and producing interactive sound showcases that break down the barrier between audience and artist. She wants her work to bring together different communities to reverse defragmentation and her art addresses pressing topics like climate change, the fears of AI and immigration. 

Anne showcased and performed at international festivals and galleries e.g., SxSW (USA), Ars Electronica Festival (Austria), Art Basel Miami (USA), MEET MILAN (Italy), Boston Cyberarts Gallery (USA), Festival of the Future (Germany), Off Biennale (Italy).

Received awards include e.g., New Realities Award, Federal Assistance Award.

Artist residencies include e.g., Jump Into The Light (music production in VR and Mixed Reality), MONOM (4D Sound).
